About Mark Johnston
Drill/Visual Designer
Mark has been heavily involved in the marching arts for over twenty five years. After graduating from Triton Regional High School, he returned to his alma mater as a marching tech and was part of the school's first ACC Championship in 2001 including the caption award for High Visual Performance. He has instructed in various capacities on the visual staff of Triton HS, Rancocas Valley HS, Timber Creek HS, Williamstown HS, Upper Darby HS, Cedar Creek HS, Eastern Regional HS and InMotion Visual Performance Ensemble. His design credits include Woodbury HS, Williamstown HS, Cumberland Regional HS, Gloucester City HS, Mainland HS, William Tennent HS and Pennsbury HS. Mark most recently served as the Marching Band Director/Indoor Coordinator for Woodbury Junior-Senior HS from 2018-2022. He is currently the Visual Instructor for Eastern Regional HS in Voorhees, NJ and is the Indoor Percussion Director/Visual Designer. He also serves as the Assistant Director and Visual Designer for the reigning TIA champion Cumberland Regional Indoor Winds. He has won a cumulative 20 regional championships and 9 circuit championships with both marching bands and indoor percussion/wind groups.
In his free time, Mark enjoys watching Flyers games, attending drum corps shows and spending time with his family. He resides in Winslow Township, NJ with his wife Sarah, children Heather, Clara and Alex and cats Potter and Maitland.
